welcome to bridge.

This position has been filled for the summer of 2012. Thanks for your interest.

Bridge Global Strategies selects one intern each for the fall semester (early September to December), for the spring semester (January to May) and for the summer (10 weeks, May to August). Because of Bridge’s small agency environment, interns have an opportunity to work closely with all staff members at some point during their internships, and are able to experience varied types of public relations work.

2010 PRISM interns, including Bridge intern Ryan Viviani, visited WCBS News, talked to a producer and met anchors Maurice DuBois and Kate Sullivan.

Summer internship program:
Bridge participates in the PR Internship Summer in Manhattan (PRISM) program as one of a group of small PR firms. These companies have joined together to provide a rich educational program for their summer interns. The program includes a weekly “lunch and learn” session with guest speakers or field trips on many different aspects of the PR profession, as well as a pro bono PR project that the interns work on together as a group with an intern coordinator. Bridge’s summer interns have enjoyed this learning opportunity as well as the camaraderie of getting to know other college interns during the summer.

Responsibilities may include help with the following:

  • Media monitoring, analysis and preparation of client reports
  • Varied writing
  • Media relations (media list building, media calling)
  • Events coordination (coordinating meeting logistics)
  • Research
  • Although there will be some administrative work, it will not be a big part of the internship

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least a college junior or senior
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours/week for spring and fall internships
  • Must be able to work five days/week for summer internships
  • Impeccable written and oral English skills
  • Intense desire to learn about the public relations profession
  • Serious commitment to internship and sense of responsibility
